Dipl.-Phys. Ralf Kotulla

I'm currently in the final phases of my PhD and looking for a Post-Doc position starting at latest in Fall 2010, but the sooner the better. In my project I use and further develop GALEV evolutionary synthesis models in combination with my own photometric redshift code GAZELLE to model and study the properties of large number of galaxies in the early universe.

With this background and these tools I would be a useful member of groups working on a wide range of topics and would be very happy to broaden my horizons towards one of these themes (in no particular order):
Galaxy formation and evolution (theory and observations), stellar populations in distant and nearby galaxies, star formation and its feedback processes, chemical evolution of galaxies, dust content of galaxies, dust reprocessing of UV radiation.

If you are interested I would be very happy to talk to you.
